Oregon Hwy 22 heading to the coast
Just wanted to let any know that Oregon highway 22 is closed from Grand Ronde west to the Coast (US 101). You must use either Hwy 6 or Hwy 18.

- Highway 22 is now open again. Be careful so many roads in the northwest have suffered damage due to the December storms.

has photos of the Hwy 42 landslide. The roadway isn't covered, but it is displaced and broken up.
The damage reminds me of US89 in Arizona on the way to Page. That took nearly a year to fix. - ODOT now has a collision closure on 199. So escaping to the coast to bypass I5 summit isn't much of an option.

So far it's not much this AM :( but the weather people said that tonight we may get some more. The passes south into Ca. have had their problems so don't forget to check ODOT cams as things change every hour. In Washington snow has closed I90 overnight. But US12 is open. - Snow in Medford? Wow. Bet it's pretty though.

What he said! we are going to have snow here in Medford Or. over the passes into Ca. the 24 & 25, even the coast is having closers.- This is my neighborhood. Record wet December for NW Oregon - Just read an road update for Highway 22. It is currently being worked on and should be open next Wed, Dec 30th.
We are receiving heavy rain today and into the weekend so I imagine the repair work will be delayed. Other road damage may occur along the Oregon Coast due to the heavy rain forecast, 4-6 inches.
