Our year long trip has begun !

I retired on March 31 2016. My wife and I have been planning a trip around the U.S. for a couple years. We upgraded to a 2010 Montana 5th wheel. And are off on our grand adventure. we pulled out of Hillsboro Oregon on May 1st.

We are trying to stay with the 2-2-2 rule. No more than 200 miles a day, park by 2pm, and stay 2 days.

We're outta here!

1st stop. My Dad's place Bend Oregon
2nd stop, Bully creek Campground Vale Or.

3rd stop Craters of the Moon Idaho

4th stop South Tourist campground, Idaho Falls Idaho (nice clean overnight, with dump, free)

    gbopp , We have been very flexible on our rules. When we got to Gros Ventre, the south entrance to Yellowstone was still closed. So, we just hung out for a few extra days and enjoyed the Tetons and Jackson.

    congratulations and enjoy! When we switched to fulltime in 2007, we said 3 to 5 years of full timing should get us everywhere we want to see. Still going strong almost 9 years later. you might find that 1 year just isn't enough:)

    We will see! We still have a S & B in Central Oregon we plan on retiring in. But, we will re-evaluate when we return.
