Ouray to Glenwwod Springs

Leaving Ouray tomorrow, headed to G Springs and points east. Two routes to choose from, no time crunch.
1- via Grand Junction, or
2- northeast out of Delta.

Main goals throughout the trip are scenery and nice towns. Same for tomorrow.

Thoughts?

That route (Colorado 133) is a treasure. Marble is a must.

And, as long as you are going to Marble, and if you are comfortable with mountain dirt roads, rent a Jeep and drive to the town of Crystal & the Crystal Mill.

Btw we decided to go across Monarch Pass and on to Co. Springs instead.
Just means you'll have to come back to Colorado and do CO 133 to Marble, Redstone, and Glenwood Springs on your next trip! Always leave 'em wanting more, to quote the now-defunct Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus.
  • Glenwood Springs is a great town to visit. So much history and sights. I saw a popular activity we want to try one day is biking east along the Colorado River.
