I have been down the Hill twice..and this time was the hardest. The RV I am pushing is some heavy...I am going to have to look into a serious upgrade in overall braking ability. About a 1/3 of the way down, brakes were smoking, and I was moving along in 2nd. I stopped and went to 4lo for a much safer/slower drive down. Coming back up, I went to 4hi.
As for the reasons of going...you know, if you made it as far as Anahim Lake...you have seen the best. The cattle country. The ranches. Bella Coola is...well, in all honesty, I wouldn't recommend to a non-fisher to go. Some of it is the one-upmaneship.."I went"...they could sell bumper stickers.
