Hi.I am looking for suggestions on overnight stopping places between Twin Falls, Idaho and the Salt Lake metro area along I-84. I am familiar with some of the truck and rest stops (which tend to be noisy) and Lottie Dell CG in Snowville (which is nice, but expensive for just a quick overnight stop). Thanks,Steve

If you don't need hook-ups, American Falls. Exit 40 I-86, take Rt. 39 thru town towards Aberdeen. On the right just after going across the bridge is the Bureau of Reclamation bldg. There is a huge driveway on the north side of building that goes into a huge grael lot. Picnic tables. 14 day free. Nice and level. We usually do several nights there and there is a boat ramp.

Can't recall the campground name right now, but it's near the Idaho/Utah border. Not noisy, not fancy not much of anything other then clean. Check-in was at a Restaurant. But it was cheap...I've also stayed at one south of Twin Falls (Twin Falls 93 RV Park), only problem was going through Twin Falls, each way, to get back to I-84

We stayed overnight in one of the rest areas on I84 between Twin Falls and Snowville on one of our trips, and would do it again if needed. Lots of truckers and a few other RV'rs staying overnight, lot of parking. Head over to Idaho Rest Stops for a map.We've stayed at Lottie Dell many times in the past, and the price was right at $20. We recommended it to my brother; he subsequently stopped there one night and found they were charging $30. So much for an inexpensive over-nighter.

Curlew national grassland is 7 miles from Snowville.

The "River Rock Grill" in Twin Falls. It was very good and reasonably priced too. It was late by the time we got to Snowville.

Thank you, we travel that way every year and I did not know about this campground, I have added it to our lists of possible overnight stops. Looks like a really pretty place.

We did a quick overnight at the "Village of Trees" RV park off exit 216 east of Heyburn. It's just a block north of the interstate, behind a truck stop with an all night convenience store. You check in at the store. It was very convenient for a late night arrival / quick stop, but I was pretty impressed when I saw the place by the light of day, it was actually a nice little place.

We've also used some of the rest areas along the route you're talking about.

A few years ago we stopped in Hagerman, ID about 30mi west of Twin Falls. Spent a few days checking out the area. We stated at Hagerman RV Village Nice little park with trees. It's on Hwy 30 just inside Hagerman.

SteveAE, I had brain fade. But getting to US 93 RV park is easy now. As you come across the Perrine Bridge (Snake River)turn right at the traffic light at McDonalds/Costco. This is a 6/4 lane road past Wally Super Center and the new hospital. 4 lane to US 93/US30 intersection, the 2 lane down to the RV park.
