According to the sign at the top, it is a 2 mile, 18% grade. I have no problems either way (other than being slow) hauling my 3000 lb trailer up or down the hill with a RAV4, but if you are under powered, it can be an ordeal going up, and, of course, important to depend on engine braking going down.
As dahkota says, it isn't a cliffhanger view wise, just steep.
This is my favorite state park. The hike along the waterfalls, particularly in the fall is unmatched.
