What is the best route between Pagosa Springs, CO to Red River, NM in a motorhome with a toad?

- Did you follow US 84 to 68 and then back up to Taos to hit NM522 or did you cut across to Taos using Hwy 64?
- Just did that route a couple days ago
- Beautiful drive. We loved Red River.
- US 84 through Chama (this part one of our favorites, on through Tierra Amarilla to Taos. Then NM 522 North to Questa, Right on NM 38 to Red River.
about 160 miles. The section from Pagosa Springs to Tierra Amarilla is a scenic drive.
I've towed over every mile several times.
