Pahrump, NV to Central OR coast?
Looks like north from here would be quite a bit shorter...but no interstate. Cut through Old Station after Reno? Connect up with I-5 at Shasta?

Do not take 66 from Klamath Falls to Ashland unless you are comfortable
with narrow winding roads with little or no guardrails,take 140 to Medford than 5 north to 42 or 138 to the coast. You cold go north from Klamath Falls to 138 or 58 to the coast. WE are having a hard winter with lots of snow ( it's snowing as I'm writing this at the 1500' level) If you can wait a few weeks it may be better weather but this may last until May like it did back in the 50 and 60s.
