I can't give you much technical advice, but can second smkettner's advice to "go slow in poor road conditions". We went almost everywhere we wanted to go in Alaska and had no problems with the roads but we were in no hurry and we didn't mind lagging behind or pulling off the road for other vehicles. I do hope that you don't have to wait until 2024 and that we don't either (as I will be 85 then). I was looking at our photos from the Class of 2013 this afternoon and got an urge to leave tomorrow. Unfortunately can't do it, but maybe next year? lizzie
