I drive long haul for an O/O in the summer. He and his brother have a very good repair shop that is open to the public. One day they had a DPF from a Kenworth that was plugged solid. The truck was used in the North near Hudson Bay. They were using regular non ULSD fuel Probably intended for barges. The inside of that DPF looked like it was filled with concrete. Cannot be cleaned. I think a new one is around $2000. This truck was a 2008. The 2010 and up trucks use DEF. Regular diesel plugs up the sensors. Costs big bucks to diagnose and repair. Add in the down time and you cans see that no Carrier with half a brain would take a chance on fuel not being ULSD. Mex is right . It costs a lot of money to delete a DPF system. 18,000 pesos is cheap. If the truck is new and you remove the system your warranty is gone! If I have time next week I will go a truck dealer and look at some new tractors to see if they have DPF's.
