Pemex south of Los Mochis

Can anyone give me the number or co-ordinates for the Pemex station south of Los Mochis that has fenced parking? Also can you tell me if there is room for 15 rigs in there (3 5ths, 1 trailer, 2 class B vans and the rest are Class A's)

It is a commercial caravan, and the RV park at los mochis is charging a ridiculous amount for that patch of chicken barnyard. I want to avoid it if posisble. I am passing there in 2 days with 3 rigs so I can check it out ahead of time. I just want to know where it is. The tailgunner, who is Mexican is taking the main group there, so he can negotiate some sort of payment to the station.
  • Pemex on southbound side is #10426. It's around K194 We stayed just over a week ago at the fenced in parking by exiting for 10426 then crossing under freeway. Four rigs, we gave night watchman $50.00 each. We forgot to write # of northbound Pemex. The owner for the Los Mochis RV park visited us that night and asked us why we didn't stay at his park. I gave him the many reasons why! Night watchman informs him when he has RVs there. Hope this helps.
  • I believe the Pemex you are looking for is southbound, the number is 4925.
We have stayed at the truck stop northbound just north of the southbound coming out and its number is 7407
  • Can't give you the lat and long but I can give you some directions and things to watch for:

    IF heading south:

The highway as you are leaving Los Mochis crosses a river. On the LEFT as you cross you should see the large Pemex called La Pilarica.

You need to be in the RIGHT lane. Exit right, and turn back towards the river then at the river RIGHT again and under the bridge. As you come out from under the bridge you can't miss La Pilarica ahead and on the right, on the corner.

Here you have a choice: Straight ahead and then turn right through the diesel pump islands (Gas pumps islands come first) OR Turn right then LEFT into the station, this will be behind the pumps and buildings and there is a lot of parked trucks and trailers NOT in the fenced lot. Carry on between the buildings and the parked vehicles and you will come to the fenced lot which used to be signed "Pension"

    If heading North:

As you approach Los Mochis watch for large REST AREA and Area de Descanso signs. These used to start 10 or 15 kilometers ahead.

When you see the highway ahead begin to rise up hill from the flat this is the bridge and you need to be in the right lane. Exit is a hard 90 degree RIGHT followed by a hard LEFT and you will then be approaching La Pilarica on your right. You can enter here between the buildings and the parked rigs. You can access the pumps from here too if you need to.

These exits used to be a bit rough. It's been almost 2 years since we were there but I doubt things had changed much.

As you can see I am a slow typer: Briansue's post wasn't there when I started to type!
  • I can't tell you the number but the Pemex is about 4 miles south of Los Mochis and is very large - you can find it on Google Earth - we have stayed there several times and there has always been tons of room - there is a security guard and it is totally fenced with two electric gates - they have a small restaurant and I think they even have showers - on the west side or southbound - I do not think you can still turn in from northbound as I think the build a barrier in the middle of the road. We do not like the RV park in Los Mochis or either of the truck stops up there - this one is relatively quiet. One of the trucking companies - maybe Bimbo bread - uses this lot as a relay drop and pick for trailer and tractors going in opposite directions - other than that not much going on whenever we were there.

    Try these numbers.......
