Most eye opening customs experience I had was the time I was trying to import a boat and trailer into the US. I'm American but have some acreage with a cabin in BC. I had purchased a boat in Canada and decided to bring it back to the US. They told me to park "over there", and head inside. The drug dog was searching the truck camper with BC plates in the next spot.
