Hard to say, but the fact of the matter is China has over the last year already set up a parallel swift system, in fact Australia is now using the Yuan for trade in Asia without touching the US dollar. If the US gets cut out of the loop with the largest growing economy, there will be problems. Historically dominant world reserve currencies have lasted about 30 years, the US is now a decade over that, It cannot go on forever and the yuan is the likely successor. If the US dollar goes it drags the Can dollar with it. The peso as well.
I am not in the Ron Paul camp, he believes the US dollar will collapse completely in September, but i think he is right about one thing, something has to give.
