I successfully got my commercial caravan across yesterday at Reynosa, complete with normally problem vehicles. A lot more difficulties & hassles than at Nogales, for sure. However, they seem not to be hassling commercial caravans in the same way as individuals. It may have to do with the fact people are on a fixed tour and they know will be exiting Mexico on a fixed date. I did provide our itinerary. It was the longest crossing, I have experienced. However with my permit obtained on line ahead of time, I had no issue, I just picked up my tourist card. It may even be a case of luck of the draw as to whom is on duty. My advice for this season is still get yours online and use Nogales unless you want to have to make a 1000 mile last minute detour. With the speed things move in Mexico this issue is unlikely to be resolved this season. BTW I also advise taking a photo of your rig if you are towing. They seem to get confused between cargo trailers & RV's. One customer ended up with his trailer added to his truck permit. We had to cancel & start over.
