Once you have your TIP, which has been delivered to your home address, your vehicle is done. There was some little thing we had to do once we received it-maybe it was a signature sent to them, a photo of the receipt, something, but we handled it on line, from home.
At the border, just stop and get your FMM and you are on your way. Don't ask questions about your TIP, just smile, get your FMM and enjoy your winter in Mexico!
If it's not a 10 year permit, don't forget to turn it in when you leave!
