Need opinions on what the best route would be for traveling mid October to mid November.

I personally would not rely on previous experiences. There could be new construction, weather delays, etc. I would upgrade to a smart phone, and get one of the many navigation apps. I did this for a recent trip, and it was very helpful. Also, apps for gas prices, dump stations, hospitals, etc. Just a thought. Enjoy your trip!
