Interesting I went alone the entire length of Baja this last winter. As you can tell I lived to talk about it.
Military Check points yes. I even had them follow me up a dirt road, they thought I was avoiding a check point. I did not know a check point was near.
The matter was settled without any shots being fired and I don't even speak Spanish.
Baja was worth it!
Four Wheel Drive can get you to some very nice campsites or really stuck.
