Planned Summer Trip

Husband and I plan a 6-week trip this summer from NC to Atlanta, to Memphis, to Oklahoma City, to Dodge City, to Omaha, to Bowling Green Ohio, back to Nashville before returning to NC. We will be pulling a 29' 5th wheel. Just the two of us. Any suggestions on routes, interesting stops, safety concerns, etc. is appreciated.

    Was just in Atlanta for a long weekend w/o the RV. Traffic over the weekend was no problem - very light - but it was obvious it could get BAD. Only RV park we saw near Atlanta was Stone Mountain RV Park. Was told that it gets very crowded in summer and suggested ressies be made early. We're planning our own trip in June and might include Atlanta but would prefer not to commit to reservations way ahead of time. Was also told mid-week is more available than weekends - of course! Have a safe journey!

    Looks like a fun trip. In OKC try Twin Fountain RV Park. Near the Horse Track and Casino and good food in every direction. Haven't stayed in the other places.

    Well, not sure which direction you plan to go, but Atlanta is always a PITA to get through and pulling a trailer doesn't make it any easier. Try to get there during the middle of the day instead of early morning or late afternoon.
