Planning a Newfoundland trip.

I'm starting to plan a trip to Newfoundland for May/June of 2018. I'm looking for information on campgrounds, scenery and tourist attractions. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

  • Thanks for the replies. Yes May be a little early. We may need to rethink that. We'll watch the weather and decide next spring. We were in eastern Canada a couple of years ago and had perfect weather but some tourist attractions were closed.
  • You can check our 2010 blog to see what we did and if any of it would apply to you. Some campground info is also available at the beginning of each post. The Canadian portion of the trip starts on Page 3.
  • Order a Newfoundland tourist guide book and you will have lots of reading and planning ideas to work on over the winter.

Also, May might be a little early for some of the tourist attractions to be open.
One year we were there in late June and could not access some of the trail heads due to snow - a lot depends on the winter they have (usually long).

Have fun planning - there is lots to see/do.
