Planning a trip to AK from Indiana

We departed from central Indiana last year. We crossed at Sweetgrass and went through Calgary, Edmondton, and Grand Prairie. You will not have any trouble with the size of your 5th wheel. Do bring some sort of generator and try out some dry camping. We even dry camped in some campgrounds at a greatly reduced rate and even spent the night in pullouts a couple of times and we felt perfectly safe. We did very little planning and only made a couple of reservations during our trip. Use the Milepost especially for the pullouts as we tried to stay out of the way of faster traffic. The Church's camping book was also handy because it had lat/long coordinates as many of the campgrounds do not have traditional addresses. We plan to return in 2017.
