The 1604 loop on the west side of San Antonio has a lot of construction. They may call it a loop but it has 3 stop lights and a lots of traffic.
If you take 173, I would not go all the way to Kerrville.
Take 173 to Camp Verde. Turn right on Camp Verde Rd to Center Point. At Center point turn right on 27 to Comfort, Then 87 straight to Fredericksburg.
If you go over to seguin and take 46 don't go all the way to Boerne(I-10). Take 46 to 281 then 281 up to 290 (Johnson City) then 290 to
Fredericksburg. This route has a lot more traffic.
