In May you need to be prepared for anything. So far this winter we have not had the severe conditions. I84 being a major thoroughfare the road is kept open most of the time. Cabbage hill outside of Pendelton, Ladd canyon outside of Largrande are your two worst worries as far as Oregon is concerned. For up to date conditions, check trip check Oregon. We have a lot of traffic cameras on I84, many with current temps.
