Preferred Route from Va Beach to Myrtle Beach
Is taking 17 a better route to take? We took 95 last year over to 40, then down, but was thinking of taking 17 all the way down this year. Not familiar with 17 though. Anyone with experience travel...

We did 17 once on our annual golf trip from NJ to MB - it's not bad, if I remember but obviously slower than 95. Once south of the VA line it's much less dense and built up, obviously. The other alternative might be 301 which parallels 95 much of the way down there. Again, like 17, it will be the Mayberry RFD road, but there are certain charms to that.
