OP here. Can you see why I am confused? So many conflicting opinions! Thank you all for,the input. In speaking with a phone rep in Canada, she said local calls are 25 cents and long distance, which is US for me, is 45 cents. I really need the service for emergencies on the road and such. I can probably use an old phone we have and get a new SIM card for it.
