Prepare Yourself For 16% Tax Added Onto Food And Medicine
The PRI got their way, and IVA the 16% National Sales Tax has been added to FOOD and MEDICINE. I have already noticed some price increases in other industries (mostly tourist oriented).

You mean like in the U.S. where the cancer medicine my friend needed for her cervical cancer cost her 1250 dollars a month (she died for lack of insurance and a decent wage), and in Mexico that same medicine is free?
The whole thing about taxing food and medicine in Mexico is completely misunderstood.
It's fuel for fires that people like to start.
