They have all sorts of border patrol agents, security fences, aviation resources and electronic border monitoring to keep all those illegal US immigrants out. As for Belgium, I guess they do have great waffles.
I found a chart online . . . http://www.taxadmin.org/fta/rate/sales.pdf . . . that shows which states tax food and drugs and how much the tax is in each state - with exemptions - if interested. When they first came out with tax on food in groceries and restaurant it was nick-named the hot dog tax.
Couple stories.....
We have and friend who had an accident and a serious problem with one arm that docs in US said would cost over $100,000. Flew to Belgium to one of the world's leading docs for this specific problem and got it fixed - total cost with airfare and hotel etc. was just under $4,000.
A couple years ago a friend staying at Roca Azul (no names but some may know) west of Lake Chapala had a heart problem requiring immediate attention. Doc in MX said if he tried to return to states he would die. So they did it in Guadalajara and it cost around $10,000. Doc said pay me when you can. Returning to US they told their insurance and filed. Insurance said in US that would cost $120,000 and cut them a check for the $10,000.
So why can't people in the US afford healthcare? Where does all the money go?
