Suggest you leave the evil USofA and take up residence in any one of those countries that are better than the one you feel you must spend your time in. BTW, just did a bit of research and besides Waffles, Belgium has the highest tax rate on personal income in the world, so it probably is a great place for someone to leech of the backs of others. As for welcoming visitors, only France hosts more foreign tourists than the US. By the numbers, the US is visited by around 75 million foreign tourists, Mexico about 22 Million. Maybe if Mexico offered some legitimate opportunities for employment, drug production and smuggling wouldn't flourish.Mexico offers much better conditions and opportunities than the US, that is why they have such a problem with illegal immigration and have to spend so much money on border control. They have all sorts of border patrol agents, security fences, aviation resources and electronic border monitoring to keep all those illegal US immigrants out. As for Belgium, I guess they do have great waffles.
Mexico actually doesn't worry a whole lot about people visiting their country. Nor do most other countries in the world. Many encourage immigration just as the US used to - how our ancestors got here. Very few other countries discourage immigration or tourism as the US does. Remember when President Reagan said "tear down that wall"? Then the US builds a wall? "Nothing to fear but fear itself"?
Criminals bring drugs to the US where the world market for drugs buys the drugs. US citizens also go to other countries where they buy drugs and bring them back to the US where they sell them for huge profits. Wealthy US bankers buy the expensive drugs to help their brains think up new ways to take our money.
US companies and businesses hire illegal immigrants knowing full well that they are illegal. They hire them so these businesses have a source of cheap labor. These businesses encourage these people to come and often recruit in other countries and help to bring those workers to the US so they can pay them less and put more money in their own pockets.
The workers would not come if business would stop hiring them and the smugglers would not come if the users would stop buying their products. Do you treat the symptoms or the cause? And which is the symptom and which is the cause? Hard to tell?
Apparently Belgium not only offers great waffles but they have great doctors and great health care that people can actually afford.
Your last line is a joke. Should have read, "when there is such a high demand for an illegal product, criminals will flourish".
But that's okay, based on what you've written, you'll never understand.
Brian, don't waste any more breath on this one.
