Yep folks - I am well aware that it a waste of breath to try to inform the misinformed and provide facts and common sense - but I still have breath to waste - at least a little bit.
I am a very long time citizen of the US and a solid patriot but as a patriot I see the ills that have tried to infect this country over the past 30 years or so and I work hard to try to fix them. We used to be a great country - the greatest in the world. Now our education system ranks around 25th in the world (obvious by how ignorant so many in the US seem to be of late). Our highway system is crumbling and bridges are falling down. Our infrastructure is about the collapse. Our health care system is the laughing stock of the world as health care costs soar out of site. I am here as a loyal patriot to continue my efforts to try to correct these ills and will do so until the day I die. Unlike so many here who claim to believe how great things are and yet refuse to accept the need to pay taxes to make things better. Yep - wasting breath probably.
And would probably see a great many more if we weren't so unfriendly to those who visit and have rules that make it so difficult for anyone to visit - it is even extremely difficult for those of us to return here after we leave on vacation for a bit.
And a little info for those who still do not pay attention - Mexico's economy is actually booming as the rich US companies move their production there more and more for cheap labor - which is getting to be more expensive each day as they realize that big business in the US will send as many jobs out of the US as they can so the greedy rich running the companies and this country can line their pockets with even more money - moving more and more jobs out of the US to all other parts of the world. In Mexico agriculture is booming as more and more land becomes productive providing more and more jobs to those who want to work - and corporate farms move out of the US because they cannot find workers - and we see the trucks lined up for miles on the Mexico side of the border at each crossing waiting to bring us so much of our food and other consumables. So many in the US are just so unaware of what is really going on here it is just so sad.
But we will try to keep up the good fight to overcome those with their heads in the sand as we try to return the US to its former glory. Perhaps if some of the less informed would get out more and learn about what is going on we would have more of a chance.
If Mexico is so great, why the heck are you in the US? Suggest you leave the evil USofA and take up residence in any one of those countries that are better than the one you feel you must spend your time in.

US is visited by around 75 million foreign tourists

Maybe if Mexico offered some legitimate opportunities for employment
