Hot potato, yes. Better to close this topic. I wouldn't say though that in Mexico "same medicine is free". IMSS isn't really "free" and it won't cover pre-existing conditions, and Seguro Popular, while being free for low-income people, has a lot of gaps in their list of approved procedures and medicines.
