RANCHO LA MESA - PATZCUARO
I think we may have posted about Rancho La Mesa in Patzcuaro previously. I also think someone else posted about it recently. I thought I might try to clarify a few things for anyone planning to visit ...

Don't go by the beginning of my little blue line in that first map. We usually track all our routes but we had a little operator failure and someone didn't do what they were supposed to so the real track did not show up. We came from Morelia and looped around the exit. It is a bit of a weird exit so I will try to map it from Uruapan to show how you get off and then go back over the highway and then down and around and under the highway to get onto 120. Nothing to it once you do it.
We are not much for beaches as we find little to do after a very few days. We like to visit beaches but then we are on the move again. We rarely stay in one place - that's why we have a motorhome - to keep going to different places and seeing different things. We go to some of the same places to visit old friends as well. From here we go to Valle de Juarez to visit Sal & Barb and then down to Roca Azul where we have friends and friends in Ajijic as well. Then maybe back over to Guanajuato. We prefer these mountain areas and seeing all the folk art and colonial architecture etc. Visiting Mexican towns and villages. Maybe someday we will get down to Zihua but not in the foreseeable future. The big new adventure this year was Oaxaca and all the folk art that can be found around that area.
