wife studied Spanish in Patzcuaro. A very good inexpensive school that was run by environmentalists. She met a lot of great people and we have been to some out of the way villages. We traveled by bus. A 50's Dodge with giant holes in the rusty floor boards. One woman got on board with a live turkey in a cloth bag. The people are what makes this area so popular.
