Raton to Midland
looking for a good route from Raton, NM to Midland,TX, without going out of the way on I-25. Is there a shorter way that you would suggest?

We have gone from Raton to Dalhart, Amarillo, Lubbock and on to Midland. They are good roads all the way. This is the route Google Maps showed as first choice.
