Raton to Midland
looking for a good route from Raton, NM to Midland,TX, without going out of the way on I-25. Is there a shorter way that you would suggest?

Pappaone, there are a few small towns. The roads themselves will slow you down- that's the idea of taking back roads-stop and smell the roses. IMO, if you're in a hurry stay on the Interstates. Our normal journey takes us thru the small towns and we actually like to STOP and visit them, you'll be surprised at the treasures lurking in many of these places....Dennis
