I am a Maritimer. No matter where you go here you will find great places to visit and (for the most part) friendly people to meet and great you. That being said, PEI is a must (To clarify the tolls on the ferry and bridge. The tolls on both cover both ways. On the ferry you pay on the first trip for both ways. On the bridge you only pay leaving the island for both ways, so if you pay to take the ferry on and take the bridge off you will pay twice, but if you take the bridge on and the ferry off you will only pay the ferry, but again, they are both charge for both ways so there is no gain. The bridge is cheaper though) Shediac (parlee beach), Magnetic Hill, The rocks, and the Annapolis Valley are all good choices as well.
