There are only four locations that I know of with lodging along the Dalton. Yukon River Camp at the Yukon bridge and Slate Creek Inn at Coldfoot are both typical work camps. There is at least one B&B operating at Wiseman that was highly regarded by one guy I talked to on the trip - Wiseman is a place I wish I'd spent more time. There are at least three lodging options in Deadhorse with the Prudhoe Bay Hotel being the most recommending (across the street from the Alaska Airlines terminal in Deadhorse) because it has some rooms with en suite bathrooms. Pictures of all but the B&B/s in Wiseman are on my blog at http://justfinding.blogspot.com/2013/07/communities-of-haul-road.html as well as three other posts about my Dalton trip in early July.
There are lots of places to camp south of the Brooks Range - pickins are much slimmer on the north side.
I loved it and wish I'd spent more time.
