Although we were late arrivals and not "official" members of Roll Call AK 2013, we are still here! We left Denali this morning and will be in Fairbanks a couple of days. Thank goodness, the rain has stopped.
Our first 3 days in Denali were beautiful! We saw Mt McKinley in all its glory driving up from Anchorage and while we were in the park going back to Wonder Lake. We got to see 5 wolfs from 1 pack, caribou, moose and several grizzlies on our shuttle tour. Such a very nice trip!
We will be leaving Tok sometime next week. I'm still concerned from all the post about taking the Alcan back past Watson Lake and beyond. We came up the Cassier and it was fine. Just wondering if we should go back that way. Is the worst of the Alcan around the border?!?!
Thanks for everyones post. Since we had not made plans to make the trip to AK, when we left Alabama, all the post REALLY helped us in getting here! Thanks for helping make it a great trip!
