My wife and I crossed at San Luis south of Yuma last November the Sunday following Thanksgiving. Very busy due to the holiday traffic but that was to be expected. We were towing a 26' pull behind travel trailer with a Dodge RAM 2500 extended cab. No problems with room to get through. The road was excellent from Rocky Point to San Luis. There was an inspection point north of El Golfo. Bypass all the big trucks lined up to go through. Nice, polite young Mexican army recruit did the inspection. No problems. There is a short section that is a toll road a few miles south of San Luis. Can't remember the fare but thought it reasonable at the time. Be sure to check with U.S. Customs and Border patrol to make sure you have no prohibited items. They carefully checked our trailer including the refrigerator and freezer and all the storage lockers in the trailer.
