We are in Fairbanks - could not believe the rain that started yesterday morning and continued through the night, a real downpour for most of night... We are at Rivers Edge CG and awoke to find many campsites underwater, luckily no one was in the tent area - totally flooded. Our little spot is high and dry. We were taking a ride out to Chena Hot Springs this morning, noted how really, really high the Chena River was, many fishing sites closed. We came upon a man standing along a flooded section of road, we drove through and he told us that unless we wanted to spend the night there, we should turn around now and leave. We did... the Chena here is really high compared to what it looked like 2 days ago... now onto Denali, doesn't look promising....
