So. Calif: I-15 at Cajon Pass and also at Las Vegas

On Saturday August 1 I plan to start a trip with our 5th-wheel. Right at the get-go we'll go thru 2 areas on I-15 that I always dread; 1. The Riverside/Corona/Cajon Pass area and going thru Las Vegas...

the 91 15 interchange is a mess almost all the time, it's being widened.
We went through there yesterday about noon in a car and stayed in thr #1 lane so it wasn't too bad. but the slower lanes are a total mess.
If it was me I'd start early Sunday morning like about the crack of dawn, then your worst grade would be the baker grade after it starts heating up, it was 103 here today in Lake Elsinore
