Few more little things on the list and we are ready.

The help on this site is outstanding as always.

Your insight on the following;

Will be at both Banff (Tunnel MT. trailer court) for 5 nights.

And Jasper (Whistlers MT RV park) for 5 nights.

These are the spots I plan on visting from the campgrounds.

Banff:

Lake Louise
Lake Morriane
Banff Gondola and town of Banff
Lake Peyton
Bow Lake
Takakaw Falls

Jasper:

Icefields Info Center
Athabasca Falls
Maligne Lake
Jasper Skytram
Sunwapta Falls

Suggestions on this list add take off..........

Thx in advance Rod

    Have a safe trip.

    enjoy your trip.
  • Yes - you will be busy. One suggestion ( if you don't already have it figured out ) buy annual Park passes for all in your party. The break even point in Canadian national Parks is 6 days. The pass is good for better than one year and is good in ALL Canadian national Parks.
Nit picking - your spelling of several places is off - Peyto Lake, Takkakaw Falls, Lake Moraine.
    Enjoy it all
  • One thing to bear in mind. You will practically drive past, Lake Louise Peyto Lake, Bow Lake,Athabasca Glacier, Athabasca Falls and Sunwapta Falls when you drive from Banff to Jasper.

You may find it better to spend one less night at Banff and stay at Kicking Horse (near to Takakaw Falls and Emerald Lake (Yoho NP) giving you time to see all the places en-route between Banff and Jasper.
  • Take in the free Museum whilst in Banff Townsite and take a boo at the Banff Springs Hotel = stunning! Magpie and Stump for Mexican food and Coyotes for Steak worked real well for us in the past, admittedly been a few years since last dined there. Lake Minnewanks & Two Jack Lake worth a visit and picnic at.

Also do check out Emily and Mark Fagan's current travels there on their blog = www.roadslesstraveled.us Wonderful photos and they capture it all in our eyes :)
  • Miette Hot Springs near Jasper are nice to soak in, a beautiful drive to get there as well. Just north of Banff is Johnson Canyon, it's worth the short hike to see it. Also Lake Minnewanka near Banff is nice.
The list is endless really, I live in Alberta and we see something new every time we go.
  • When?
You will have a few hours of driving to and from each campgound but doable...
You won't be able to see all the stuff on your list I. One day or one trip, so it will be multiplayer trips back and forth to see what you want to see.
Don't forget Kootenay National park sites as well.
    Soup.
