Remdies for Bugs & Bears

Mosquitos are bad in the Fairbanks area (last year) and we dry camped at a BLM campground on the way to Valdez where the misquitos were so bad, we had our jackets up over our ears and ran to get back inside the RV. A fan will not help much when you are dry camping. We bought our bear spray at the local Wal-Mart in Fairbanks. You can buy it with a holster that fits on your belt. We stayed in several campgrounds that had bear warnings but never encountered any. We always had the bear spray with us just in case. Since it was bear spray and not people pepper spray, we had no difficulties crossing the border.
