Good Sam has a Trip Planner. You can also scope out RV parks in cities you might be staying. I use it all the time.
As far as routes I like to use Google Maps and let it choose the initial route and then I verify if it is RV friendly or not. Hint - Interstates will get you where you need to go with the least fuss. Next are US Routes. They won't be Interstates but they will be good roads. You might want to pick up a Motor Carrier Atlas, what the truckers use.
