Reno to Yellowstone to Mt. Rushmore
I'm looking for advice on where to stay with my 5th wheel...I will be traveling from Reno to Salt Lake City then heading north through Logan and north from there...I plan on an overnight around Jackso...

stay overnight in Gros Ventre campground in Grand Teton park, about 7 miles north and east of Jackson. Water and dump station.
you will need a minimum of two FULL days at yellowstone just to see the basics.
stay at Bridge Bay campground, water and dump, or Fishing Bridge, with full hookups. Get reservations NOW and don't be surprised if you have to jockey your timing a bit.
exit yellowstone and head for Cody. Do yourself a big favor and stay a couple days in Cody. One for the Buffalo Bill Museum of the West, and the other for a day trip on Chief Joseph scenic byway, then over Beartooth pass and down to Red Lodge, MT then south back to Cody. Take a picnic lunch and have coffee and ice cream up at the Top of the World tourist stop. Do not pull your rig for this.
From Cody, go southeast down to highway 16 and then east across the mountains to Buffalo WY and I 90. Go east and take 16 at Moorcroft then east all the way to Custer, SD. There are several rv parks in the area...or try to get a reservation at Custer State Park... Game Lodge campground is my choice.
Take the scenic road 16A to get to Rushmore.
