Richmond area to OBX
Read that there is construction on Rt. 64. How bad is it? Is there another route to take to OBX?

Not up to date on the construction on 64, but it is a terrible drive most of the time anyway. The route Roy B provided is the go to route around 64 and the dreaded tunnels.
Careful on 460, last winter I encountered what felt like a speed trap at every little speed limit change between 295 and Suffolk! Best of Luck.
