Road conditions Highway Amy 5 from Oregon to California

Not sure where your Ridgecrest is. Looked it up and the one I found is off US 395.
US 95 has some hills but I donot remember anything to be concerned.
What time of year are you planning this?
Right now, I would be watching the weather and run I-84 to US 93.
