I towed my 16' TT with my Highlander the opposite direction on that route 2 years ago. I don't recall anything that would give you trouble. Highly recommend the route for its scenery. The way the sandstone changes colors as you move up and down in elevation through the layers is really something. From the San Miguel River E for about 15 miles or more it's steadily uphill, but not a tough grade.
