Rock Springs, WY to Gros Ventre Campground
is 191 a good road to use? It was suggested to us to go thru Dubois to the park but looks a little out of the way since we are coming from the east on I-80. Just wondering how 191 is? Thanks Tara

Here's another vote for 287. We took that route a couple of years back, spending the night in Lander and headed into GT the next morning. As CloudDriver noted, you'd have to traverse the Togwotee pass, but it's an easy climb and descent with great views of the Teton's going down. If you do stay at Lander, there's an Indian casino not too far away where you can make a deposit if you're into that sort of thing.
