I live in Rocky Point and I visit San Felipe a few times a year. They are both great and they are very different.
Rocky Point is very grown up with lot's of activities for adventurous folks. The RV parks are nice and some are right on the beach like San Felipe. We have a lot of restaurants, 3 golf courses and other amenities. San Felipe is a bit smaller and probably quieter and that is a good thing for a lot of people. I think they should both be visited at some point for a personal comparo.
I will be at the big tent event again next year on behalf of the State of Sonora as well as the city of Rocky Point, be sure to stop by and say hi to my wife (Naomi) and I, I will have a lot of local information and road logs to hand out!
