Due to some of the posts on internet down time and the suggested cash backup started me looking at fuel prices. As expected they go up as you go north through Canada. Not a problem as I allocated $6/gal for the entire trip - ie I expect to come home with extra cash.
In Alaska I saw $4.30/gal for diesel. But big surprise in Valdez County at $4.90/gal??? Was that somewhat accurate? I don't see how I can travel from Anchorage to Tok without going through Valdez County. Well of course I can but it's a long way back to Fairbanks!
