For those taking the ferry along Alaska's coast one way or the other, I'm suggesting a tour in Juneau that might be interesting to many.
A helicopter ride to Herbert Glacier where you get to mush your own sled dog team on the glacier, then return via helicopter to Juneau.
A friend manages the dog sled portion ... he lives on the glacier all summer with 80 Alaskan huskies! He's also very experienced with northern dog sledding ...
Sebastian Schnuelle is a Yukon Quest champion and has placed second in Alaska's Iditarod race. He's also won the Vet's choice award in both races.
